Pony Shares
At Simple Times Farm Pony/ Horse ownership is more affordable than you ever
thought possible. Would you like your child to experience owning a pony but
can't commit to a lifetime? Take a look at our Pony Share program.
With a Pony Share you will receive access to one of our fantastic ponies or
horses weekly. Pony shares include beginning lessons and pony pals are available
for $10 per hour for riders needing supervision. Pony Shares range from $100 and
up per month.
Horse Shares are also available for adults who are young at heart.
Riding Lessons
We offer Private (only 1-2 riders) lessons for all levels of riders. We
don't believe in "Cookie Cutter" riders or lessons. All lessons and lesson
plans are designed around you, the rider, and what your goals are. Some
riders want to be champions and some just want to enjoy a horse. We can do
that!
CHAMPS G.R.O.W. Club
The G.R.O.W. Club meets Weekly and focuses on mentoring youth through
interaction with horses and agriculture. Children participate in the joys of
riding and farming while learning the character and skills necessary for true
success (90 minute group activities, $15 weekly).
CHAMPS @ Large
Our @ Large School assemblies are geared toward introducing children to the
fascination of the farm, its animals and foods.
Our mobile stable and grow-house come to you and young people get a chance to discover the science and skills of the farm. Call our staff to discover the opportunities available for your school.
Our @ Large program is also available for your picnic or event. We can include pony rides and a variety of other activities and games.
Pony Parties
Have your party on the farm. Two hour parties include a farm tour, a horseback
ride in our indoor arena, photo opportunities with the ponies, and a bit of
down-on-the-farm celebrating just right for your group.
Call for reservations and pricing.
Tours
A great introduction to CHAMPS and Simple Times Farm, our tours are a way to
learn about the aspects of a working farm. Tours range from one hour to two
depending on the options selected. Call our staff to discuss tailoring one to
meet the needs of your group or organization.
CHAMPS Apprenticships
Youth 14 and up may qualify for an apprentice position on the farm throughout
the year. Apprentices receive training in many aspects of farm life and
get to participate in all the realities of farm life including mucking out
stalls, spring kidding season at the dairy, and fall harvest in the CSA.
Apprentices should be excited about learning, hard workers, and enjoy working
with people, especially children.
